I was getting that fault message whilst trying to extend my ea access subscription. After about 5hrs of calls with ea and microsoft a tech from xbox support confirmed that y'all have to let the ea subscription run down before adding a new one. This policy was introduced by ea a couple of months agone.

If you get this bulletin stop immediately! I got the message trying to renew my gold that expired in a couple weeks and if I purchased now I got it off 33%. I received "Something went incorrect our end. Try again later." I did so and got the same message. I contacted support they tried to help and attempted to renew it them selves and got the same message. The next twenty-four hour period my bank called and Micrsoft had taken almost $320 out of my bank business relationship! Weeks later after telling me a refund would be given within 24-72 hours i am however dealing with Microsoft nearly getting my money refunded and my xbox live is expiring in a few days...they will tell you lot they are doing an investigation. In that location should exist no investigation about refunding coin to people when the bulletin and employees told you lot to endeavour over again...
